Dr. Raj Rampersaud — Chief Medical Officer & Co‑Founder

MD, MSc, FRCSC

Dr. Raj Rampersaud is Chief Medical Officer at Arthur Health and a Professor of Surgery at the University of Toronto. A leading spine surgeon and system innovator, he designs clinically led care models that translate best evidence into everyday practice at scale. As CMO, he steers Arthur Health’s clinical strategy—ensuring the CareNexus Platform enables safe, coordinated, and accountable care across interdisciplinary teams and settings.

A co‑founder of Arthur Health, Dr. Rampersaud brings two decades of leadership in musculoskeletal care and health‑system redesign. His work focuses on aligning incentives, workflows, and data so that patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time—while clinicians and administrators gain the real‑time insights they need to continuously improve access, quality, and value.

Under his clinical leadership, Arthur Health has advanced integrated MSK programs and work‑injury networks powered by CareNexus—connecting referral, triage, specialist assessment, rehabilitation, and return‑to‑work pathways. These models have achieved industry‑leading outcomes in patient satisfaction and return‑to‑work, while reducing friction for providers and payers through transparent information sharing and evidence‑informed decision‑making.

Dr. Rampersaud is recognized for bridging clinic, operating room, and system‑level realities with pragmatic digital enablement. He partners closely with clinicians, data scientists, and product teams to codify clinically validated pathways into scalable workflows—and to embed measurement into daily operations so improvement is continuous, not episodic. As Arthur Health expands into new regions and service lines, he continues to champion models of care that are patient‑centred, interoperable, and accountable for results.
